Our Chicago, a boom town owing early success to the extraction of food from the countryside and later to the abstraction of food on the Market, remains a city in which food, specifically how we procure food, gives shape to our communities. We frequent bodegas & delis, break bread in school cafeterias & in parks, and open our homes to neighborly dinners.
