And we’re back…

Join us January 10th at 8 pm as we welcome a new year and the renewal of The Seasonal Salon. While we reflected upon the 20 Salons and 75+ speakers that we have hosted from our home on Palmer Square, many of you asked, What happened to the salon? Well… We’re back from our Summer/Fall sabbatical with a variation on an old theme. The Seasonal Salon will continue to be a place to share stories with the Interested & Interesting. We will continue to be a place of support for your stories, be you citizen-expert or professional-savant.

You may notice three changes in our Format. First, we have decided upon a simple, consistant framework to support your stories. For each Season, we have chosen a Concern, and for each evening we have paired a Focus with that Concern. This Winter we have gathered storytellers to speak on Food. For the January 10 salon, we have asked our Experts to address Food & Sense. Second, the Seasonal Salon will occur on the 2nd Monday of each month. Third, the salon will be televised, er, documented. The Seasonal Salon intends to be a reflection of the wealth of Chicago’s community. As such, we are committed to the you, the Interested and Interesting, and to extending the reach of your story beyond The Seasonal Salon. As we welcome winter, The Seasonal Salon would like to give our own warm welcome to Scott. In addition to being awesome and certainly one of the most intentional of Chicago’s emerging designers, he’s the hands behind the look & feel of The Seasonal Salon.  When you visit The Seasonal Salon, say Hi! to Scott, or take a moment & a little inspiration from Scott’s other projects.
